I purchased the Affinity photo and for iPad very early on and have used it on and off since then. I realised that it is very good photoshop replacement if you know photoshop but otherwise it is a bit tricky. Then I took Adobe subscription because there are so many tutorials floating around. However, the raw conversion is poor when compared to ACR. You can’t load in a batch of files and get a film strip with options to select and deselect various files, and particularly to adjust one file and Synchronize the changes to the other selected files.
Can’t do anything like that with Affinity. AP is worth much more than the asking price. Definitely get it. Actually very cheap for what it offers. Even for very occasional usage, like in my case. I just wish it was an easy one click save in Affinity and to go back to CapOne when you have finished editing a file. I have to first save as a Affinity file, then export back the file overwriting the one sent out by CapOne so it always ends up in the correct folder. Maybe I’m doing something wrong.

The update really sped up the rendition time on Windows PC. GPU acceleration is now more optimized on PC. There was a lot of stuff that bugged me about Adobes products opening time, performance, the messy installations and Affinity solves them for me.
